This course provides dental professionals with essential training on federal OSHA requirements and their application in the dental practice. Participants will explore key workplace safety regulations, including bloodborne pathogen and hazard communication standards, infection control, personal protective equipment (PPE), and hazard prevention. The course also addresses emergency preparedness and practical strategies for maintaining a safe, compliant workplace for both team members and patients.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify OSHA’s role in workplace safety and its impact on healthcare settings.
  • Recognize key OSHA regulations relevant to healthcare workers, including bloodborne pathogen and hazard communication standards.
  • Apply OSHA requirements for infection control, personal protective equipment (PPE), and hazard prevention.
  • Develop an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) that aligns with OSHA’s safety and preparedness guidelines.
